YT of interview Dima: [taking apart a box of chocolates] The second floor is... sweets too. Interviewer: Sweets as well. Dima: Sweets, only sweets... Interviewer: Sweet as candy. This is like Koldun, sweet as candy. Dima: Koldun, yes. [break] Dima: [holding two bottles] One of my promo kits. Two bottles, one liter. It's vodka. Interviewer: Looks like you have a lot of money. Dima: I have? No, but the guy who produces all of this, he has... Interviewer: So this is one of the gifts you give? Dima: Yes, it's for you. Some vodka you can drink, every time. [break] Dima: Last year I won Russian Idol (presumably Star Factory) and today I am very popular in Belarus and everybody knows me... and I have to be in the final. [break] Dima: It will be the first entry of my country in the final, and I want to write my name in the history of Belarussian Eurovision. Interviewer: Some journalists are nervous about whether we're going to Minsk next year, to Belarus, about freedom of speech and so on. Dima: Yes, freedom of speech. They don't know about Belarus everything I know. [break] Interviewer: Do think we in western Europe have sort of wrong ideas about Belarus and what's going on there? Dima: I don't know what ideas you have in western Europe, but for me, it's... I feel good in my country, and I like it. That's why I represent my country. Interviewer: Have you been watching the ESC since... how long have you been watching it? Dima: No, I'm not fond of Eurovision since I always hate this contest. Interviewer: Why? Dima: Because I'm a singer and I like to sing, and when I watched this I thought "Oh, they are singing on the big stage, the television's shooting them, and I'm here on the sofa!" And I turned it off. That was very bad, but now I like it very much.
YT of interview Dima: My name is Koldun, I am from Belarus, and I will represent this republic in Eurovision. Interviewer: How are the preparations going for Helsinki? Dima: Now we're proceeding in our promo tour, and that's why I'm very tired, because Greece is the last country in this part of our promo tour. We have been to Scorpia, we've been to Madrid, we've been to Dublin, and I don't remember other cities where we've performed our song. That's why today is the final countdown. Interviewer: Belarus has never qualified for the final. Does that give you any more pressure? Dima: My country has never passed in the final I think because it doesn't have experience in this contest. That's why my producer and friend Philip Kirkorov, he's a pop star in Russia, helped me to avoid mistakes and to be the best. Interviewer: He worked with Dima Bilan last year and came in second. Has Dima [Bilan] given you any advice? Dima: No. Dima Bilan is now in the United States, doing a promo tour or two, but he just sings for American people, and he's very busy, as I am now. That's why we don't connect to each other. Interviewer: Is the performance we're going to see tonight the same as what we'll see in Helsinki, or is it something different? Dima: No! The performance you will see tonight is a performance made for a promo tour. Interviewer: Can you say anything yet about the performance in Helsinki? Dima: ...no. Interviewer: Okay. Thanks for talking to us. Dima: Thank you.
